Early White Vienna Heirloom Kohlrabi Seed
55 days. 100 seeds. If you like turnips or cabbage and have never tried kohlrabi, you are in for a really tasty treat! These 10-12” tall plants produce 2-4” long green bulbs. These green bulbs have a crisp, white flesh with a mild cabbage or turnip-like flavor with nutty overtones, and they are excellent raw or cooked. One of my favorite ways to prepare them is to mash them like potatoes, or with a 50:50 ratio of mashed potatoes and mashed kohlrabi. Also, one cup of cooked kohlrabi contains only 40 calories and has nearly 140% of the recommended daily allowance for vitamin C, which makes it a perfect healthy snack. Kohlrabi plants prefer cooler weather, so this variety is also a wonderful addition to your fall garden. Open pollinated seeds. FREE SHIPPING!
