We ship via USPS Priority Mail (which generally arrives in 1-3 days) or UPS/Fedex Ground, depending on the items being shipped and your location. To avoid having live plants sit in a shipping warehouse over a weekend, we generally ship live plant orders on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

In order to extend free shipping on live plants, we have an 6-plant minimum on plant orders for our free shipping offer. (6 plants actually nets you a possible 12 plants total since we throw in a bonus plant of the same variety for each plant ordered!) To further explain, if we offer free shipping and only one or two plants is ordered, our hard cost of shipping alone would be more than the total price of the order. So, in lieu of having a separate additional shipping charge, we have opted to try a 6-plant minimum to be able to offer free shipping on that order. If you have a small garden and don't need 6 plants, please ask your neighbors to join you in ordering. Or, call us and we can give you an estimate for less than 6 plants, but we will have to pass along some shipping costs. We hope you understand.

About that free extra plant: we are now providing a FREE EXTRA plant of the same variety of each plant ordered. This is to help offset any loss of life in transit -- if one doesn't make it, you will have a 2nd one that hopefully will. And if they both survive, then consider it a bonus as you will have double the amount of plants for your money! Also, what's really cool is you can use the complimentary MegaStart we provide with each plant to use in the planting hole and plant both plants in the same hole! Because of the nutrients provided in MegaStart, 2 plants will survive and thrive and produce twice the bounty in the same amount of garden area! For the best production and flavor, please also remember to use your MegaSea and MegaFish!


We guarantee that all items you receive will be in great condition. If anything is damaged during shipment, please let us know and we will promptly replace it. We guarantee that all of our seed is viable and of the highest quality, and will produce a minimum 80% germination rate if planted and cared for properly. Regarding live plants, because of lack of sunlight and air circulation while in transit, it is possible that some of them may appear stressed upon receipt. However, we provide seaweed solution free of charge with every plant order that will help bring any stressed plants out of shock, promote rapid root development, and give them a healthy start in their new home. If any plants have not shown signs of recovering after 2 weeks of following the instructions we provide for transitioning your starts, we will gladly send you new plants. Note that we can't replace any bonus plants, only the original plant(s) ordered. Our free bonus plant program is our insurance policy against having to send replacements, which is really costly as I'm sure you can imagine, and for us to continue to be able to ship plants we needed to find a way to cover our costs. So, I came up with this great idea which turns out to be a win-win all the way around!


We will gladly accept any unopened, non-plant items returned within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item).

You should expect to receive your refund within two to three weeks of giving your package to the return shipper; however, in many cases you will receive a refund much more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (1 to 2 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
